TAK is an interactive sound installation commissioned by the Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam and funded by the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK).

TAK is a complex, sonic ecosystem that reacts to human presence. The system reacts to its input in an non-linear fashion. It is an actor in the space, who influences its surroundings and in turn is influenced by them, thereby questioning the boundaries between technological an biological systems.

The installation consists of 8 speakers in an ambisonic array and sensors. It was situated in a round, century old greenhouse.

TAK was realized in cooperation with sound-designer Joav Richartz.
